Our Story

We Believe Learning AI Should Feel Like Craft

Cognivault was built on the idea that real understanding comes from steady, well-supported work — not compressed timelines and over-promised outcomes.

Who We Are

How Cognivault Came to Be

Cognivault started in Bangkok in 2019, when a small group of data engineers and ML practitioners noticed something: the courses available to learners in Thailand were either too shallow or too rushed. Students were finishing programmes without the depth to build anything independently.

We designed our first track — Quiet Start — as a response. No hype, no inflated promises. Just a carefully sequenced set of materials, small cohorts, and mentors with real field experience. The first intake was 12 students. Eight of them went on to take the Modelling Track.

Since then, we've grown steadily — deliberately keeping cohorts small enough that everyone gets personal attention. Our Mastercraft Programme launched in 2022 and has since produced learners working across fintech, health data, and enterprise automation.

Our Mission

To offer the kind of AI education we wished existed — well-paced, honest about difficulty, and focused on practical outcomes over vanity metrics.

Our Vision

A Southeast Asia where working professionals can build genuine AI skills without relocating, taking on debt, or spending a year of evenings on content that doesn't hold up in practice.

Our Values

Honesty about what learning takes. Respect for the learner's time. Craft in how we build and teach. Long-term thinking over short-term enrolment numbers.

The People

Team Behind the Courses

Small team, deep expertise. Our instructors and mentors are practitioners first.

NW

Nattapong Wongkham

Founder & Lead Instructor

Former ML engineer at a Bangkok-based fintech company. Designed the Quiet Start curriculum and mentors Mastercraft capstone projects.

PL

Pimchanok Lertwatana

Curriculum Lead

Previously a data scientist at a regional logistics company. Manages course sequencing and project rubrics across all three tracks.

SW

Siriporn Wilaichit

Student Experience Lead

Coordinates cohort onboarding, peer groups, and learner support. Keeps the forum active and the community connected.

Our Standards

How We Keep Quality High

These are the commitments we make to every learner who enrols with us.

Annual Curriculum Review

Every track is reviewed each year against current field practices. Libraries, tools, and project examples are updated to reflect what practitioners actually use.

Practitioner-Only Instructors

We don't hire educators who aren't also practitioners. Every instructor maintains active work in data science or AI engineering alongside teaching.

Capped Cohort Sizes

Intakes are limited to keep feedback personal. No learner is left waiting weeks for a code review because the cohort has 200 people in it.

Data Privacy by Default

Student data is never sold or used for advertising purposes. We hold only what's needed to run the programme and delete it on request after completion.

Transparent Assessment

Project rubrics are published before assessment begins. Learners know exactly what is expected and receive written feedback, not just a pass/fail mark.

End-of-Track Feedback

Every cohort completes a structured survey after the final session. Results are reviewed and acted on before the next intake, not archived and forgotten.

AI Education That Fits Working Life in Thailand

Thailand's technology sector has grown substantially over the past decade, and with it, the demand for professionals who can work with machine learning and AI systems in practical settings. Cognivault was designed specifically for learners in this environment — people who are already working, already busy, and already curious about building skills in data science or AI development.

Our three tracks span the full learning arc, from a first encounter with Python and data structures through to deep learning architectures and model deployment. Each course is built around hands-on exercises and real project submissions rather than theory-heavy modules that don't translate to practice. Code is central to everything we do.

Bangkok-based learners benefit from the ability to speak with our team directly — in person when helpful, by phone or message otherwise. We understand the local professional landscape: the kinds of roles AI skills open up, the companies hiring, and the specific domains — logistics, finance, healthcare data — where our graduates tend to find opportunities.

Cognivault has worked with learners from fresh graduates to senior engineers making a shift into machine learning. What unites our community is a preference for depth over speed, and an understanding that building this kind of knowledge takes time, support, and real work.
